Basic Food Preservation Workshop—July 14, 2009

Your garden is full of fresh vegetables, way too may to eat now.  You are thinking, I should have paid attention when my grandmother was canning all those vegetables.  If you want to learn basic food preservation join KQCD on July 14th at the KQCD office in Walkerton.  Marilyn Morris from the Gloucester extension office will conduct a free workshop  for all those interested in learning this time honored skill.  If you have a pressure canner and you are not sure if it is safe to use, she will be available at 5:30 to inspect your canners.  There will be a food preservation door prize.  To register, call the KQCD office at 804-769-9656 or email info@kqcd.org.  Space is limited.
